WoodCreek Reserve Developer Named Among "The Katy 10: the 10 most
influential people in the Katy area" by The Katy Sun

August 19, 2010 - The Katy Sun announced the 10 most influential people in the Katy area this week and Troy Maxwell, developer of WoodCreek Reserve, was named as the Katy area's most influential business leader.

The men and women chosen to be on this list of Katy's top movers and shakers are all connected by their love for and commitment to Katy. The Sun recently polled community members, activists, politicians and business leaders to determine the area's most dynamic and influential people.

All 10 have worked hard in everything from government to business and make Katy the place it is.

Maxwell, who founded WoodCreek Development Company in 1999, is the developer of Katy Main Street, WoodCreek Resere and other developments outside of Katy. He recently purchased 2000-acres north of the City of Katy for future development and land at Park Ten Road to build an office and retail development.

"I have been working with Troy Maxwell since 2006 and believe his charitable nature locally is what sets him apart from other developers in the community," said Robert Anthony, from Landstar Realty Advisors, Inc. and WoodCreek Development Company. "As a business partner, he is everything you could hope for and more: creative, determined, friendly and supportive."

Others on the list include:
Education: Alton Frailey
Government: Don Elder Jr.
Commerce: Ann Hodge
Politics: Glenn Hegar
Carol Adams
Sports: Gary Joseph
Community: Stan Stanley
Arts: Terri Beiber
History: Roberta Rylander
